Terry Spencer Hesser: Emmy Winner, Novelist, Screenwriter, Scriptwriter, and Playwright

Ohhhh, the dead – the undead – and the soon to be dead . . . sometimes it’s just so hard to tell the difference. After producing a television program on vampires, (The Vampire Myth – Arts & Entertainment), I felt pretty well steeped in eastern European folklore and the lure of the highly sexualized invitation . . . but it wasn’t until reading Ken’s amazing journey into the meaning of lust (Bloodstained Love) that I came to enjoy the metaphysical implications.

Natasha is the girl that girls want nothing to do with and the girl that men would die for – literally.

Ethan, the somewhat hapless, tragically hip, sarcastic, boy on the verge of extinction, is the perfect guide into the realm of uncontrollable and yet conflicting desires. When his choices – akin to Sophie’s (i.e. William Styron’s Sophie's Choice) – and his options shrink to the space of choosing among evil, Natasha becomes a distant mirror for all questions of morality.

Natasha, like a  Greek-myth demon child that morphed out of Ken’s head in her entirety, is an obsessive musing on the nature of desire and its ramifications. It is a book that reads like a movie.
